» Starting November 30, 2009: New Pace Bus Service between Plainfield and Downtown Chicago

The Pace Suburban Bus Co. will operate 2 bus routes from the Village of Plainfield and Downtown Chicago beginning on Monday, November 30, 2009. The new Route 755 will provide service to the UIC campus/medical district. The expanded Route 855 will provide service to the Loop and North Michigan Avenue. Detailed route maps, schedule and fare information is available in the Project Info/Gallery section of the website.

» May 19, 2009: Open House/Community Workshop Meeting, 6 pm, Village Hall

An open-house format Community Workshop meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 19th, to obtain input on the draft plans and report for two transit station areas planned in the Village of Plainfield. Following the open house, at 7 pm, the Village's Plan Commission will hear a presentation from Village staff and the Steering Committee that has overseen the draft plan development. There will be an opportunity for public comments and questions during the Plan Commission meeting. The meeting is open to the public and is an opportunity to articulate your ideas. The draft plan is available in the Project Info/Gallery section of the website.

Also, for those that could not attend the Community Workshop Meeting on September 18, we have updated the Gallery to include an introductory presentation as well as results from the Image Preference Survey and pictures of the three-dimensional mapping activities that were conducted at the Workshop.
